2nd gen trac bar/ panhard bar removal

i am trying to remove my trac bar or panhard bar (whichever you may like to call it) and the upper mount bolt wont seem to come out. is there a trick to getting this one out or am i missing something here? i would assume once the nut is removed the bolt should be able to come out- no such luck for me. any advice?

The driver side one, the bolt is actually part of the axle.
The passenger side one, it's been in tension all this time, so after you loosen it, put the nut back a little so you dont' ruin the thread, then hammer it till it start to back out the back end.

Spray with some "Rust Bust" first, then beat with hammer.

its the upper one- the passenger side. does this mean the bushing is shot or something? is it all fine to put back together with original hardware?

A visual inspection should serve to determine whether or not it's "...fine to put back together with (the) original hardware." Although most here would advocate upgrading to better/new materials whenever possible.

Bill from pennsylvannia had a hard time with this one, he ended up torching it out and having to piece together a new bushing/bolt. Search around in the off road section.

Meanwhile, us California 4runners just have to spray it with oil and tap it out.

I did what Bill from PA did. I cut the bolt off, then torched the crap out of the bushing till it fell out. Cleaned it up w/ a screwdriver and then using a shock bushing from Advance Auto Parts ($4.99) I trimmed it and stuck it back in. Works like a charm.

I don't know, but I went the easy (not cheap) way and just bought some WARN premium hubs. Didn't need to rebuild, it was simple. About 30 minutes per wheel and it looks so nice and shiny.

first and second gen runners except the solid axles from 84 & 85 should be interchangable. grab new gaskets from the stealer, clean up the mating faces on the hub body, cap and wheel location, check there is sufficient grease and bolt them on.
