Those look nice but I can't run them here in SoCal without some sort of red reflector on them, CHPs would never let them slide. I've seen one's that look like the 96-02 4Runners for 90-95 but I havn't been able to locate them. Anyone now where to find any ?.

Does something about those look funny or is it just me? I've seen the clear tails like that before, but I don't think they had reverse lights in them. I didn't think most 2nd gens were wired for reverse lights in the tails, unless they came with the stock tire carrier or something.

I'm not too fond of those lights....but, that's just my opinion.

I'm actually looking ones that have both the signals and brakes red.

There aren't any reverse lights on those. From the bottom, the first thing you see is the reflector, then the section where the brake light is, then the turn signal up top. My experience with the really cheap clear lenses is that they don't have a factory plug which means you have to hack your wiring harness.

The 4Runners with the rear tire carrier (in North America) had the reverse lights on the tailgate (not integrated with the plate though).

I have a set of the tails with integral reverse lights - but they came from cduff in Japan out of a salvage yard.

Must just be the way the light hits them in that pic then, at first glance I would've sworn that was a spot for reverse lights in the bottom left corner. I see now what you mean though.

I like these lights ok, but if i bought em I think I'd paint around the outside to try and mimick the 3rd gen lights. Just my $.02
