22RE Cold Air Intake...finally
Well everyone, I finally did it. I fabed my own CAI for my 1986 Pickup. It wasn't easy, but I did it. I lengethend the Air Sensor wires by 4 feet, adapted an open breather filter to the air box, and used some PVC pipe to aim the intake down low. Everything is a tight fit, and very secure. I can tell a noticable difference in the higher RPMS, or maybe it's all just in my head. Its 9:30pm here, but I'll be sure to get some pictures ASAP.

Nice, get some pics up soon.
I can't complain with the results of my taller air filter on my 22r, its got a little bit more grunt in the low end, not a night and day difference, but enough for me to know its working.

dizzam that thing sticks out down low! No river/lake crossings for you with the intake there.

How easy is it to swap out back to normal? The reason I ask is that you can do a stock run on the 1/4 mile, then mod it to that, and rerun to gauge the difference.
I've been thinking about trying to do something like that but more of an air ram - it prolly wont work but cant hurt to try...

Yeah, definately going to have to watch out in the rain... Especially with the never ending hurricanes

I can put the stock intake back in, in like 10 minutes. It's not noticable from looking outside, you really have to get under to see it. I'll probably get a bypass valve soon.
