22" NEW PICS...as promised

Well all, here they are. I have actually grown to love the damn things...all of your responses and entertaining. I dont and wont ever have any hard feelings, so feel free to be as blunt as possible...I would love some feedback. 17" slotted and drilled rotors are in the works, as well as grinding away quite a bit of steel inside the front fenders, and trimming the bumper a little more...

wow a lot of effort went into this. but a agree with you on one point. I would rather here the critisism here on yotatech rather then go out in public not knowing. Kinda like having a bugar hanging out your nose all night, and your bud not telling ya.

post the pics of the subs once their done!

Looks nice man, I havn't seen them in person yet, but I imagine that they they turn some heads. Also, they'll look much better when you get some bigger brakes to go with them, fills up the inside of the wheels nice.

I'm glad to hear that your going to be stuffing massive brakes in those wheels, that'll be cool.

I think they look bad ass. However, I think spending that kind of $ on rims and tires is kind of silly.

Just my $.02

I'll go easy on ya Billy I think they look pretty good, not my taste, but they're not ridiculously ugly by any means. One suggestion though, I would find a way to paint the center caps, those things are too bling in my opinion. I think 20's might have looked better, but it's your truck man, do what you want. I respect you for going out on a limb and trying something different I had a few people who didn't like my lights behind the grill, but hey I didn't let it stop me.

if had had your truck and wanted big wheels, i've have gone all out like that with 22s than anything smaller. i guess you could have gone 24, but then probably not found such good tires.

those actually look somewhat competent for offroad activity, didn't expect that in a 22" wheel.

yeah not my ideal wheel, but if you like it, more power to ya. at least they're not spinners

Perfect moment to revision kickable offenses on Yotatech

Otherwise it looks like a concept vehicle designed by more than usual doped up designers.

I kind of like the centercap "bling" I think it adds contrast and really brings out the wheels. You will deffinately have to post some pics of the big brakes, that will really make the look complete. It is really growing on me.

i think it looks much better in those pics and if the darn 4th gen fenders weren't so awkward looking i think it would look great!

I think they are absolutely awesome, some of the old timers on here might not like them, but Even though i never really thought big wheels were a good idea on an offroad vehicle those completely prove me wrong. I think they are bada$$ on the road rollin on 22's and the fact that they have an aggressive tire on there to tear it up offroad is the perfect combination!

Maybe if i get a newer truck someday imight try that look too, Actually i can see that look becoming more popular as a package on future trucks and suv's, after all the new RAM comes with 20's..... I think we wil be seeing this style become huge in the future, way to be apioneer man!!

Most likely the center's are going to get painted...the wheels actually look cool with them off too. I am still undecided though about that one, as I want it to be a perfect match to the powder coat black, if I do it. And hey, I really appreciate all the comments and insight...both negative and positive. Just figured I better keep pushing the envelope...the discs will be dope for sure...system soon...

Billy- I almost hate to say but they look awesome! When I originally heard what you were going to do I thought - no way. But I will admit-it does look like a concept car brought to life. The tires and wheels really look god together. Now if we can only convince Toyota to sell a 4Runner that does not look like somebody put lowering springs on it like the stock ones do.

I definately agree with this, Black centers would look way cool, with just the chrome lip on the outside. Schweet. Least me thinks so.

Damn man those are hot, looks good really like the black and the chrome

edit:
whats going on with the straight pipe under the rear bumper, what happened to the muffler, does it sound better without it and does it mess with emissions when I need to get it state inspected, what does it cost to have that done and whats the benefit.
