2009 TRD Lift Question
Preface: I have searched exhaustively for information regarding CV Boot issues and the only information I can find pertains to first generation Tacoma's. A few years ago I lifted my 2000 Tundra and went through CV boots monthly. So I'm familiar with the boot slide mod, diff drops, high angle boots... The whole nine. I know how frustrated people can get when the same question is asked repeatedly so if the question has been answered I apologize.
My Truck: 2009 Toyota Tacoma TRD 4WD Access Cab.
Intentions: 2-3 inch lift with 265/75/16's, daily driver, no wheeling.
Concerns: CV boot wear due to ribs contacting.
Question: Is the CV boot issue as prominent on the second generation Tacoma's with a 2-3 inch lift kit? I've searched several forums and everything I find relates to older Tacoma's. Is this because it is less of an issue with second generation trucks? Looking to hear from the guys or gals who have this truck lifted and their experiences with it.
