2005 4Runner & Sam's club

Can anybody confirm the 05 4runner V8 will get the vvti/power bump?

Also, why doesn't sam's club stock any mud tires? the closest thing they got are the BFG AT's...

Sam's club sucks, that's why.

Sorry, I am a Costco fan. Got any friends with a Costco card? They have MFG mud terrains there.

Yeah Sams sucks! And I don't think there's any Costco's here unfortunately. Do you really need a membership card? When I went to Sam's, I accidently pulled out my driver's ID and the woman just says "Ok, thanks." so you can get in that place as long as you have something that resembles a little plastic rectangle.

Now, are the MFG MT's intended for those who get stuck in traffics a lot?

At costco they can special order mud tires. I'd think sams club can do the same.

Our Costco actually has BFG MT's out on display. Cool!

You can get in to those places if you are savvy, but you cant buy anything cause they really check for a card at the register.

I agree that Sam's sucks. (But I'm a little biased because I work for Costco at the northeast regional office).

How far are you from Nashua? There is a Costco there. There are also some in Vermont.

They can special order BFG M/Ts. Takes about 5-10 days. Or you can order them online and have them shipped to the store for mounting and balancing (which is included in the price).

BTW, I know people who have gotten Dunlop M/Ts at Sam's if you're interested in those.

Anyone can become a Costco member.

FWIW - When I went to buy my REVO's at Costco they told me that they would no mount them on the vehicle because they were oversized! I ended up getting a better deal on them at Firestone.

Same here. I was going to put 32" on my Runner and Costco wouldn't do that because tires were not the same size as specified by manufacturer....

That's a liability thing. Annoying, but smart from a business perspective.

I don't know about the 4Runner, but it sure sounds like there's going to be a VVT-i version of the V8 in the Tundra.

Same thing happened to me at costco. I oder BFG mt 305/70/16 and they would not mount them or warrenty them. Needless to say I left those tires with them. I ended up getting MT/R's from a small town tire shop of 4 dollars per tire more + lifetime rotation.

Costco suck's.
