2004 taco extended cab - carseat help!
HELP!
My wife and I recently had a baby. She is adorable.
I own a 2004 tacoma extended cab. Is there ANY possible way for me to put a car seat in the back and still have room for a passenger up front? Does anyone have experience with any car seats that are smaller than others?
Would it be easier once our daughter got big enough for a forward facing toddler seat? (dunno if that is the correct term…but the seat for once they get too big for the rear facing infant seat).
When I bought my truck I didn’t even consider kids. I’d really love to keep my truck but can’t see it working out well. Downside is money isn’t available to upgrade to a 4runner or d-cab. We will mostly take my wifes car when it is the 3 of us….but for camping and such it would be nice (necessary at times) to take a 4wd (i.e. my truck). To “upgrade” to the necessary space I’d probably have to settle for something older, higher mileage, and not a Toyota (which would bum me out).
Thanks for any ideas. Personal experience? Am i SOL? BTW her diaper kinda stinks…..anybody up for changing it?!
Cheers

The infant seat is way too big to fit behind the front seats. I have put the forward facing toddler seat in the extra cab, however the seat is completely upright which was uncomfortable for the little man. We spent some money and bought a 2000 4runner and I plan on keeping my 2000 extra cab Tacoma for trips to Home Depot.
I will pass on the diaper! I have my own to take care of!

I've done it they do have a smaller seat but u must buy it online however as your doughter grows she willl fell uncomfortable in it... if y do get the seat u must put it on the side of the pasenger pick up that cup holder thing that the truck has and fold the cushion up abd the seat will fit perfect
