2004 PreRunner with S/C & 7th value..

Hi folks,
I'm considering selling my 2004 2wd PreRunner Double Cab and am wondering if someone can help me put an asking price on it. Per the Kelly Blue Book it prices out at $19425 average trade-in, $22185 average private party sale and $25040 suggested retail used from a dealer. Trouble is, mine has a dealer installed supercharger and 7th injector. None of the price guides offer that as an option when determining values and I can't find any other comparable trucks for sale to compare to. Before asking at the dealer I thought I'd see if some fellow consumers could weigh in.

Here are its full particulars..
2004 2wd PreRunner Double Cab
TRD Offroad pkg, SR5 pkg
TRD Supercharger, 7th injector, boost gauge
TRD transmission cooler
19000 miles, never damaged, garaged, excellent
White exterior, charcoal interior
Power everything, sliding rear window, cruise control
17" graphite Sequoia wheels
Factory bed extender
Factory alarm
Factory skid plate
Factory receiver hitch and wiring harness
Hellwig sway bar
Bed mat and rail guards
60000 mile Toyota Extra Care warranty

Sorry if this sounds like spam outside of the classifieds, that's truly not my intent. I'm just really wondering what this thing is worth and don't want to approach it blindly. Or maybe some ballpark numbers would help if I decide to just ask the dealer about trading it in. So, has anybody out there sold something similar lately? Any other advice is appreciated.

Oh, and before anyone asks, I love the thing and there's nothing wrong with it. But, unfortunately, I've suddenly found myself in need of a much larger truck.

...

I feel like you might be better off trying to get a good deal on a trade-in price for it, because anybody that is looking to buy the truck is looking for a deal, not to give you one... y'know? Maybe if you can haggle some you could get a little more for the trade in price, or get them to knock off some of the price fo your new truck. What are you upgrading to anyway? That is one sweet ride.

I suppose you could try adding the installed price of your supercharger and accociated to the private party price, but it's hard to say. You're going to have to make some compromises. I'd say add half what it cost you to get the supercharger and 7th injector and go from there. Maybe $24-25k? I'm not sure what a truck like yours goes for used, most people hang on to them

you'll be WAY better off to take the SC and 7th off and then sell the truck w/ a "stock" engine. the SC and 7th will make people a little weary since it could have been raced or driven hard with it.

Thanks for your thoughts, Brian. Whether I end up trading it in or selling it outright, it's likely that I'll end up with a full size 4x4 domestic of some sort. Leaning towards GMC (I don't like the looks of recent Chevy front ends), or maybe an F250, either diesel powered if money permits. There's no immediate hurry, but it looks like I'm eventually going to need something much brawnier than my dear little Tacoma and I need to plan ahead.

Andy, there's little chance that anyone looking at the truck in the flesh would assume it's been "driven hard", much less "raced". And I'm predisposed to leaving it as the nice package that it is, as opposed to stripping off the S/C & 7th and selling separately. Thanks for the email, though. I'll contact you first if I change my mind on that.

I have a 2001 sport automatic, and was wondering if anyone has had any problems with the transmission with the S/C installed. I was planning on "doing it right" and going w/ the supercharger & URD kit & tranny cooler, but don't have the $ for a level 10 tranny. I don't drive like a jerk, I just want the thing to be very reliable because I do a lot of highway driving, and thought the supercharger would be great for that.
