Hi everyone,

I'm not sure this normal or I'm being too picky about my windshield on my 2004 4Runner.

The problem is that I think it is sort of deform or warp with wavy patterns.

When I stand outside my 4Runner, with the driver's door open and look through my windshield at an angle, it looks sort of warp or deform with wavy vertical patterns.

If I sit inside the car, it's not noticable as if I stand outside and look through the driver side at an angle.

Is this normal for the 4Runner windshield?

I saw there is a TSB - BO005-04 WINDSHIELD MOLDING DEFORMATION, 2003 – 2004 model year 4Runner vehicles. Is this TSB about the windshield itself that is deformed?

The 4th gen is equipped with a permanent RainX type solution that beads water. Maybe it is just that you notice?

All windshields are laminated safety glass. If you look into another car, any car, from outside you will see major distortion.
Next time you're at a traffic light look at the car next to you, through their windshield and it will look totally distorted.

It seems like the TSB might be for the trim around the windshield.
