2001 4Runner 4 wheel drive "clunck"

In my 2001 4Runner if you engage the 4 wheel drive without locking the center diff there is a cluck that can be felt and heard when your already moving and you take your foot off the gas and then re-apply the gas again. But when you have the center diff locked it doesn't do that. I was just wondering if anyone else with a 2001 had that problem and if not where I might start looking.

Thanks for any input.

My 01 does the same, very faint and I can feel it more than hear it, but it's there.

You have to do the chicken removal mod to reduce the "clucking", hahaha...ok...but it amused me at least...

Clearly, the transducer ducks on top of the framus need oiling. Better to take care of the problem now before the CV bill feathers and you have to replace the entire webbed boot.

Heck, I took too long typing it. Heath already got in a sarcastic remark before I could get mine on the board.

Really? I was hoping Ed went way too far trying to make the same basic joke, therefore appearing more sad than I did, haha.
