2000 SR5 Tire question

Does the reduced ride height of the 2000 SR5s effect their ability to step the tire size up slightly to the FAQs 3rd gen max 265/75/r16

No, the ride height was reduced in 2001 by 1" due to the change in 4x4 systems. If you have the old style part time system (no push button), you still have 10" ride height. Either way, youcan run the larger tires w/o any problems.

Rich, he is correct that the change occurred in 2000, not 2001, but you are right that it does not affect what tires will fit. No problems on the 265/75's, Bob.

I have a 2000 SR5 and am running 265/75 Bridgestone Dueler A/Ts. Ocasionally I experience very slight rubbing at full turn and articulation. Nothing that would keep me from buying the larger tires again.

thanks guys

Still peeved about the lack of ride height compared to my '95, it's time to stick some bigger tires under there and save up for a lift.

A whole .5 inch...woo woo
