2 door Second Gen 4runners?
My buddy says he said he has seen such a thing, but he is canadian so you know - kinda crazy. Anyway cant find any on google.

If you search the forum here, you will see them.
We have a few members who own them, and I have seen several up close in WA. state.
I think they were available in the states only one or two years due to import laws.

There were some import laws that made the 2 door runner actually more expensive than the 4 door. Plus the extra utility of the 4 dors pretty much killed the 2 door runner

well after reading this thread I serched for a two door one.. didn't come up with anything this time but! I think this one is cool

sorry it's a little off subject but I had to share with u guys, it's kinda what I'd like for a runner if I had one.. just needs the rear sag taken care of and it'd be sweet

2nd gen 4runners came only duing 1990 - 1991 model years. The reason they were dropped was poor sales. I used to have on, til I rolled it. I kinda liked having two doors...less road noise and the little guy couldn't just open the doors/windows.
They are pretty rare,though. There seems to be plenty of them up here in Canada...I see about one a week.
Having gone to a four door now, I don't think I'd go back. 4 is WAY more versatile than 2.

i have a 1991 2dr Toyota 4Runner SR5, 3VZ-E V6, 5-speed. let me know if want some pictures. they are extremly rare and i have only been able to find 2 pictures of them by using google and all the other search engines. i have never seen on on the road, only mine. i can say i have had people offer me alot of money for it, but i can't seem to let go.
