2.7l tacoma performance questions

I'm on the fence on getting a 2.7 with lower miles or getting the 3.4 and shelling out more for something with more miles. I'm on somewhat tight of a budget around 10k I have little experience with either engines and know they are both good engines. My drive is 6% grade for about 10 miles 2% in others about 25 miles total climbing colorado mountains. I'm not going to tow and will do done off road. I have a 22r that will do about 45 50 up the grades full throttle and was wondering if the 2.7 would do better. I'm not very cinders with mpg figuring coming down I get to coast . But my main question is can the 2.7 preform around 55mph on grades. I'd rather have something with 100k miles then pay the same for a 3.4 that gas 250k. either way I could supercharge the little 2.7 if low enough miles if it isn't the way I like it
Thanks for any advice

I have always stuck with the 2.7 personally. More power liter for liter lol.....but it does fine on grades. Make sure you are geared right for your tires and it will get you there. Its a pretty powerful 4cyl and just fyi it responds very well to turbo. It can be supercharged though. If you're towing.......well plan some time on grades.
