2.7 gutless in high rpms

since about a week ago my 2.7 has been feeling gutless when you hit about 4k rpm, kinda like is bogging down. i just changed the plugs and wires about a month ago. the other nite i had the oil light come on when id rev about 1500 in nutrel and up 2 15mph in 1st gear.
thats when i stoped and checked the oil and stuff. it hasnt been on since.
maybe this 2 are related?
i do know my exhaust manifold is crack also.
thanx in advance

edit-it has 170k miles on it. i bought it at 156k. i seen the p.o and he said all he did was plugs wires and oil and the battery and he bought it at 44k miles

Switch out that manifold, that may solve a lot of your problems. You'll notice a difference, I did!

A 3.4 5-speed wouldn't be as gutless. I'm selling mine.
