Question 2.7 exhaust man. crack

just wanted to know if it is bad for my engine to be ran with the crack?i can live with the noise if it will not hurt my engine.i just found the crack recently (122,000 mi.) after hearing ticking sound under load.

Depending on where it is and how bad it is, often times a muffler shop can weld it. Also, it won't really hurt much if you're not having trouble starting it. It could eventually effect gas mileage due to O2 readings being possibly skewed.

i concurr with above. evidently, the stock manifold is prone to crack on the 2.7L engine. here are some good pics of the culprit. cheers.
