2.7 exhaust
Ok, i am new to this site and i searched a lot but still am confused on what muffler to get for my 1997 Toyota Tacoma 2.7 4x4. i was thinking about a flowmaster 40 or 50 series or a magnaflow 14' 5x8 oval. ive been on a few other sites and some say the flowmaster is more ricey then the magnaflow and some say its the other way around. i am looking for a 4x4 deep sound. can someone please help me out? thanks for your time. Also if you have time check out my truck on cardomain... heres the link http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/537556

i used to have a flowmaster 40, but hated it, it sounded bad, or at least i thought so.

I got a flowmaster 50 series which is quieter than the 40 and it is fine. Truck has more guts goin up hill and I dont need to downshift half as much. I tried the LC Engineering Catalytic converter which made it louder. Actually they sent me the wrong one and I should be getting the right one soon so Im not sure what effect that will make. But for a stock cat the 50 series is just fine, not ricey at all on mine, just deeper at idle.
I originally wanted to get a Dynomax as they are queiter somewhat and less restrictive from what I have read but I couldn't find a retailer in my area.
