Sribble, scribble, yeah and then ..... uh, yeah I see that ... ok now what wire was that? Oh and I recognize those hands!

Excellent job! This is a great write up and with your flair here, this is going to be an easy upgrade to perform once you get it all set up. I AM taking notes!! My goal when I do this upgrade is to minimize the "extra" connections I have to make in my system and try to utilize all the OEM connectors that I can when I install my center bezel. Glad my pics helped too. This is gr8 stuff!

Cheers Ritzy, good luck with your connections! Be sure to post some snaps.
This part could be viewed as "lights and trickery" but it does have some functionality (to my mind!) as opposed to not wiring-up the LED's.
I may move the alarm microphone too so i can free up a cut-out.

Had some free time this morning (wife out of town!) so I got the rear window, ECT and defogger working. Will endeavour to complete the write-up this week.

too many unfinished mods already! must... not... view... AHHHH! i'll see if i have the will power to resist this until i finish what i've started thus far.

a great write up, especially the wiring diagrams; that is what really confuses me and you've simplified it greatly!

edit: i also relinquish the title of "mod master" that you so graciously gave me earlier. you have now totally OWNED me, i am now back to "pupil" status.

Thanks pattycakes77, the real trick to this was obtaining and studying the wiring diagrams between the two years.
When you actually spend the time to analyse them, they're self explanatory and you can suss out where to make the connections, by wire colour match or power function.

No one seems to know what happened to Blarchitec, but for what ever reason, when he left the site the write up disappeared. I had a bit of foresight and printed out a portion of it but never got any farther then the first part. I intend to try to replicate it but still need to do some research on the electrical portion as there is not direct connection between the two consoles as some use sitches and smoe are electronics so it is gonna take me awhile, winter, basketball ... LIFE in general Merry Christmas everyone
