1999 3RZ-FE 2.7 L - What's the best way to remove the EGR / EGR Pipe ?

My 1999 2.7 L has been throwing a P0402 code, which I understand to be 'excessive flow in EGR'. I'd like to take the EGR off to examine and/or replace it, but I'm not sure how to reach the EGR pipe or the bracket it's on so I can remove it. Can anyone give me some hints on the best way to get that EGR valve off?

I'm not interested in removing it and capping it off.
