Search is great but this is a thread I started and the mag melted down!
First question was the A/C working and cold before the fuse blown and does the fuse keep blowing?

it appears to be a bad compressor
there was a horrific screeching from the belt attached to the compressor
lucky it is a separate belt
i cut the belt; now no more noises; truck runs great
it appears the compressor / magnetic clutch assembly come together
how much is fair price for parts and labor
i am assuming it is ok to leave it like this for now and it won't hurt anything (just no a/c)
thanks all replies appreciated
