1990 4runner

hey, I am looking into buying a 1990 4runner with 144k miles on it but the engine was rebuilt at 100k. I am a little worried about how long the tranny will last and other things breaking on me. Should I worry about this? Also, does the 3.slow really suck that much? Thanks.

the 3.0 v6 doesn't suck ... it blows. Just kidding.

That's alot of miles. If the tranny is an automatic then I would be conerned about the torque converter. Additionally, the CV boots and moving parts would be my first priority.

But, if the price is right, then hey it's all up to you.

It cost me 1,800 dollars to have the timing belt done and all the other fuel injection maintenance plus fuel filter and stuff. Something to consider before buying a 3 slow. If you do your own work then it the price of maintenance goes down alot.
