1989 Fuel pump bracket Some more questions
I finally found the stuff I needed for my fuel tank.....I think. I found the fuel pump bracket on ebay for my truck, so I emaile the guy and asked if he had another and the filler hose and he did, turned it the guy is MODMAN, the guy on here that has the s/c 3.4 2wd truck. Heres the problem mine seems to have 1 pump line and 2 return lines Heres a pic of mine
and heres the 1 that I bought
So heres a couple of questions.
-Has anyone here ran into this problem.
-Do you think there is any problem running my 2 return lines into 1
-Shouldn't be much of a problem with the rewiring not to worried about that part
-Not sure if the pump I have will work with this bracket (not to bad because I could use a new pump anyway to be safe)
-Any help would be awesome, as I really don't have much choice 1 because this is a very hard part to find in my area(except for toyota dealer $$$), my only other choice is to go to a fuel cell and external pump again $$$
Thanks Dusty

As you can see here, the difference is that the dual return line is from teh p/u, the single is from the 4Runner. I personally don't see any reason you couldnt "T" the two lines into the single return port.
But I may be totally wrong. It wouldn't be the forst time...

They are NOT 2 return lines. One is a return line, the other is the vent (it goes to the charcoal canister). We had ours reversed once after dropping the tank. When it got warm out, and the fuel expanded, we had gas pouring out the canister.
tlake may have another one. He gets back from England today (late). I'll ask if he has an extra (he has been buying parts for a FI conversion)
