1988 IFS Downey 2" rear and ball joint spacers installed TODAY! QUESTIONS!

Well I got the front ball joint spacers installed in under an hour per side with NO problems at all, a 4" angle grinder is the way to go! The rear were a little harder, the front bolts were not coming out of the old springs, so I had to grind them off and find replacements, other than that and a few hours of 100 degree garage time my truck is 2" taller than it used to be! I do have one problem though, my passenger side is about an inch lower in the front than the drivers side????? I did smack a large rock a few weeks ago and blew my front end way out of wack, I am just hoping I didnt bend the frame. Once you install the ball joint spacers how much did you all have to back off the torsion bars? I gave mine a few cranks on the passenger side and a few more on the drivers side to level it out, I am still concearned there is damage up front that I am not seeing! I am taking it in for an alighnment in the morning and I am going to have the tech check teh front end out. Any input before then would be great in case I have to make some more adjustments or replace any thing elsse! Thanks again, Matt

It's most likely you simply did a little bending to your torsion bar, get an alignment and you should be fine. Torsion bars do tend to sag over time anyway so I wouldn't worry about it.

Brian is right about the bars. Adjust till level and have at it.
