Get a powerful magnet and check all around the rear fenders, especially along the seem/crease. 86-88 pick ups are notorious for rusty bed syndrome. Otherwise, mines a carb'd truck, so I don't know what to tell you, when you drive it make sure you try out the 4WD and 4LO make sure there is no grinding/clunking. Make sure it doesn't pull in any direction under normal driving and under heavy braking. Normal test drive kind of stuff.

yuck. I did a search. Is this ONE prone to blown head gaskets?
Also, it has had 20w50 in it from day ONE (believe it or not... only 50K miles) I know thats a little thick...
