15" OEM Alloy wheels on a 2004?

Any problem switching over from 16" wheels to 15" wheels on a 2004 Double cab 4x4?

I'm looking for some 6 spokes, and for a while, ( I think up to 2002) Toyota used 15x7. Then they switched to a 16" wheel. I don't know if there may be a specific reason, like caliper size, etc.

Thanks!

you hit it- brake clearance issue likely-you rarely want to go down a size or the calipers will rub...

But I admit I am not a Tacoma guy

I have a 2004 4runner I went from 17's to 16's and my calipers knocked the tape weights off the minute I drove away from what I have been told 16's is the smallest you can go. Hope this helps

IIRC, ALL DC Tacoma's came standard with 16" wheels. I believe even some extra cabs came with 16's. The 3 split spoke (6 spoke) wheels came in 95-00 Tacomas and after that, they were the 5-star wheels.

BTW, do you really have only 12.5k miles on your Tacoma??!! Go out and drive that thing a bit more!

Not sure about other xtra cabs, but mine came equipped with the 16's.

That is very low mileage, wow!!

Toyota Tacoma OEM steel & aluminum 15x7 wheels WILL fit the 01-04 Double cabs. No grinding or clearance issues either
