Well, sunday (while racing my Supra) I decided to have a little fun and drag the 4Runner *haha*...So I jumped in the 4Runner and headed to the staging lanes...the 4Runner was PACKED with crap (tools, car parts, coolers, cases of drinks, folding chairs...lots of crap...weighed ~4350lbs on the scale) I actually lined up next to a non-turbo Eclipse and despite all the laughing at the fact someone actually brought a suv to the line I beat the eclipse in the 60ft, 1/8th, and the 1/4 mile *hahahah*..tooooo funny..I have this on video, but due to bandwidth issues, I can host it...if anyone can suggest a place to host video files, I'll make them available.

60ft was 2.2
1/8th was 10.1 @69mph
three quarter tank 93 octane fuel

I was having some voltage issues due to the crappy old battery cables...so maybe it could have been a tenth or two quicker with better voltage....I will replace them this weekend (it got so bad that the car would almost die if i tried to roll two windows up at a time *hahaha*)

It was a fun track day

That is pretty respectable indeed. Wow - I was happy with low 13's in my 5.0 Mustang.

That's not a bad time at all. I think I would run about a 25.9 hehe. I don't like dragging the 4Runner anyway. Something built for going anywhere offroad just isn't meant for going so fast in such a short distance. Well at least my 2nd gen isn't. I got to ride in a 3rd gen the other day, didn't go to far, just a 10 minute ride, but it was a lot more car-like. I consider my 4Runner comfortable to drive in (and so do my passengers), but the 3rd gen ('97) seemed a little more luxurious.

uh, I guess you're talking about a completely stock 3rd gen. any 3rd gen that had mods for offroad that I've driven hasn't driven very "luxurious" in my opinion. of course your 2nd gen has over 150k on it so you might consider that has something to do with the ride quality. besides, I think I'd take my 3.4 V6 over the 3.0 V6 anyday. I would agree with your first three sentences though.

Crap, that probably puts me somewhere in the upper 16's. Maybe higher. Only one way to find out I guess.

Hey I chirped 2nd for the first time yesterday while racing a Grand Am GT. No bigee, just thought I would share.

Well the Tundra which is lighter with the same motor runs high 16's to low 17's in the 1/4 mile depending on the magazine you read.

This is from Peterson's Off Road:

Acceleration:
Standing 1/4-mile (seconds @mph): 17.24@80.64
