run a dedicated circuit for the lights... ise a switched ign power as a signal line only if you are going to even do it that way... i have my aux lights wired on their own and have them setup to run with the car off or on, on a dedicated circuit with an in cab switch... they also automatically come on when i flip on my highbeams

You need a relay with the +12v acc line source.

Check out Corey's write ups.
I used those extensively when I was trying to figure out my aux. rear lights and that gave me a pretty good idea how to wire it to my liking.

thats a good thread jim, ..but the thing is i dont want them wired with my high beams because they lights have a high and a low beam themselves i want them to operate independently...they also have a DRL which i would like to have hooked up....hmm i might use that wiring diagram on my dads runner tho

my original idea did not have them wired up with the highbeams... the bottom half of the diagram is how they were wired up without the highbeams..... http://www.yotatech.com/attachment.p...achmentid=4844
