12000 lb pull 22RE
So I had to pull my buddies off the freeway last weekend, a 94 dodge 3/4 ton and a 86 runner tow strapped behind it.... no one there thought i could... threw it in low range and drug them both 4 miles.... i was so proud of the runner!!!! granted once you get them movin its only rolling resistance, but still, a story to tell!

That exactly how I felt when I pulled my Dads 40 foot class A Motor Home out of the mud. The dual axles were buried to the rim. I was proud of my baby that day.

really, though, it's all about gearing...you could tow the titanic with an electric pencil sharpener if you had enough gearing.

Sounds like when my good friend used his 3F-E powered FJ62 to pull a 18-wheeler off some railroad tracks. Guess the truck had stalled right in the middle of a crossing and was going to end up smashed eventually by one of the coal trains that run through Denver. My buddy had to use 4-low and lock both his ARBs to get enough traction and still had to jerk him to get him moving, but like you say once you get it moving, then it's just momentum. A 6000 lbs FJ62 pulling a 60,000 lbs semi... Gotta dig Toyotas!
