I'm jealous. Why can't everyone be so lucky as to spend literally a good percentage of life on this earth behind the wheel of an '89

I put 167000 on my 89. Bought it new with only 3 miles on it. Not a single problem. I now have 50032 on my 2000 and 62000 on my 99. Hope mine go as far as my 89 or the others here.

150,000 on my 3vze 89 4runner. No probs other than the starter issue which has been adressed here.
Now my 95 3vze has a burned exh valve @ 170,000 miles and this motor is getting replaced with a 3.4 5vze.
And I ain't looking back...

Good question. I sold my previous ('90) 4Runner with 205,000 miles on the odometer and the current owner told me he has over 265,000. And I often towed up to and over it's towing limit. I bought my '00 in 2002 with 13,000 on it. I now have 93,000 on it and I won't blink until I'm over 200,000. Just take car of 'em and they'll make you proud!

...and with the exception of a couple of other canadians and MAYBE one or two smart Americans everyone smiles and nods and pretends they know how much that is in miles...
