1/4 mile track run
Well, while we were running our cars (my Supra, my bro's Stealth...) at the 3\S DSM track day
( here )
I decided to pull my 4Runner up to the line with the back end FULL of stuff (tools, car parts, stereo subs, coolers w/ drinks & ice, chairs...lots of STUFF)
Anyway, I get to run a non-turbo Eclipse...the crowd was laughing that someone actually put a SUV on the track *hahaha*...then the tree lit up and off we went...I beat the eclipse in the 60ft, 1/8th, and 1/4mile *hahaha* time was 15.9 @ 84 (with a 2.2 60ft, 10.1 1/8th) I weighed the vehicle with me in it and it was 4350lbs (I am 170lbs) The guy in the Eclipse was PISSED *lol*..he got beat by a 4Runner in front of everyone *haha*..I do have this on VIDEO and will post a link to the video when I get it off the tape

Ha ha, that's awesome. I miss the drags. I would like to run my truck too, just to see where its at. You should run it again sometime with the ricer treatment; rip all the seats out and the spare tire, tape the whole front end up, etc. j/k.
Seriously, I would like to know what you run without all that weight. Good job on taking out an Eclipse!

I see where SP no longer offers the SP57...now they start with the 61GT then the SP63 and up....I'm not sure what I'll do...this SP57 spools SOOOO fast...I have full boost by mid 3k rpm's...when this dies I'll probably either get the 61GT or a hybrid turbo from Forced Performance in texas...Scott Evans (11sec Galant..DSM tranny guru) has worked with them to come up with a turbo that spools quicker than the SP57 and puts out about 100 more hp....he's done dyno runs comparing the two...I just dont know yet. Right now I'm enjoying both Toyotas *LOL*
