04' TACO - What parts make up the 'Tow package'

I was under the impression when I bought the truck that I could tow up to 5000 when I added the appropriate hitch. There is one sentence and a little diagram in the M.O.M. that talks about a tow package and how to check if you have it. There are two different fan clutches, green shaft on the fan clutch and you got the tow package, orange and you don't.

Well, you guessed it, I got the orange fan clutch.
Any other differences?

Thanks

I think you'll need these parts:

1) wiring harness ($150ish from stealership)
2) tranny cooler
3) class IV hitch?

Did I forget anything guys/gals?

They usually only put the towing package on the automatic tranny trucks since you can do a lot of damage to the tranny if you overheat it, mainly to the tourque converter since it heats up the most. Hence the reason for the upgraded fan clutch, tranny cooler (integrated into the radiator) and such. Since you have a manual, you don't have to worry about overheating the tranny since you have no tourque converter to burn up. You just have to worry about not smoking the tranny clutch when towing, that's all. The upgraded fan clutch and tranny cooler aren't needed or offered with the manual since manuals don't have the constantly moving parts that the autos have.

As for the wiring harness, look under your bed near the left side taillight, there should be a taped off connector up there with a plug on it for the wiring harness. Go to Toyota & pick one up and you're all set. That and an aftermarket receiver hitch and you're towing!

Automakers recommend autos for towing since its simpler and most people don't know how to drive a stick anymore and would also burn out the clutch through improper usage. If you know how to drive a stick, you can tow with it by shifting at higher RPMs to keep your power up and clutching normally. If you've never done it before, take your rig to a parking lot & practice there then try it on some quiet streets before you head out on the road, especially if you're in a hilly or mountainous region. Good luck.

.
I think this maybe what is sticking out from under the bed rail. It is two wires(a black one and a red one.) that were there when I bought my truck, but the dealer didn't know what they were for and I have never been able to figure it out. If I can remember, I will take some pictures later and post them to see if that is indeed what it is.
