Is there any 04 4runner reviews. All I seem to find are 03 4runner reviews. I know nothing real has changed and the 03 reviews can apply to 04, but it would be nice to read some up to date reviews on 04.

Their won't be any real indepth reviews on the 04, magazines or online sources they typically only do new or redesigned models so don't expect anything except the occasional comparison test
For reviews just read up here or edmunds

Not really a review but I had m 03 in for service and the salesman had an 04V6 SR5 on demo and let be borrow it for an hour. Engine noise still the same as 03, had the Dunlop tires (as did every 04 on the lot) but they rode fine for the short time I had it. Of course all the overfenders, etc. are body colored now, the base sound system seems to have better speakers (he said it did) but otherwise there was literally no difference to the 03. I did ask about the rear seat option and the salesman said its a joke, there only so they can say it's available but almost unusable. Very small jump in price. Oh, it doesn't come with the electric brake pigtail - salesman said so many people screwed up the installation that Toyota now only makes it available through he dealer and that installation is required by the dealer for warranty purposes (?) which I guess really makes it another option.

I noticed as I was perusing the Toyota website the other day that they removed something else... the telescoping steering wheel from the SR5. Only Sport and Limited models now have the telescoping wheel.

Changes to the 04 are:
Rear Seat No 2 option.
Some minor changes to Rear Seat No 1.
(with the 3rd row option the 60/40 seats change to flip and fold, look at Toyota.com for details)
Super Long Life Coolant (SLLC) has been adopted.
Fuel tank cap change.
ATF Fluid type change and fluid level detection mechanism has been adopted.
A direct-sensing type tire pressure warning system has been adopted.
Changes to the SRS Airbag System have been adopted.
