04 2.7l idle knock issue

Ive got an 04 2.7l taco with only 34k miles on it. Routine maintance and such. Runs great and never a problem with it until about 4k miles ago.

It has a knock at 1000 rpm when its at idle. I know jap motorcycle engines in and out and it has the sound of a valve knock. It doesnt idle rough or anything of that sort just a noisy idle. It only happens at 1000 rpm. I can idle it a little higher and the sound goes away completely. I changed the plugs, cleaned the filter, and have gone through 2 oil changes since i noticed it. Its not affecting the performance its just annoying and dont want it to be a long term issue at 100k miles. Its still well within warranty as far as miles...im about a year out from the 5yr warranty so it will go in if the problem persists. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem as a typical 2.7 thing or if its just me. Any input is appericated.

Mine is consistant across all engine temps and outside temps...im hoping maybe a sensor just got outta whack or something simple. Its just annoying cause its a 34,000 mile engine with a idle knock! hopefully we can both get some feedback ehh

If you think it might be valve noise I suggest you have your valves adjusted. A lot of shops do not adjust the valves on those engines because it is a bit of a pain. If a valve clearance is off, the shim has to be removed, measured and replaced with one that is the correct thickness to bring the clearance back into spec. (Way more time consuming than your typical rocker style adjustment) If your valves are not within tolerance you will hear a bit of valve noise. Not sure if that is your case or not.
