02 Sensors Error Code 1/2
I got a CEL and the code read said my O2 sensor was giving the code and it was O2 sensor 1/2. I'd think this would be the front O2 sensor but wanted to check with the forum before ordering the new sensor.

I think what you mean is Bank 1 Sensor 2. Correct? And i'm assuming you mean a 3.4L V6. Correct? If its bank 1 sensor 2 then it is the O2 Sensor behind the cat. ie. the one farthest back on your exhaust.
For what its worth i changed my back one and a few weeks later the front one went out too. May want to just replace them both at the same time.
How many miles are you at currently. Mine went out right around 100k miles.

My car has 172,000 miles. I don't have a maintenance history on the car so I really don't know how old the O2 sensors are. I think I'll have the timing belt and radiator replaced soon just to ensure I don't get stranded.

That makes sense. I'm brand new to my '98 4Runner 3.4L V6 since I bought it about 3 weeks ago. The back O2 sensor would make sense given that my gas mileage has been pretty good (~18mpg, half highway, half around city).
