01 Trd supercharged Tacoma. Can you get a bov?
So I have a 01 Tacoma with the Trd sc running 6lbs of boost. I really like the idea of having a bov like my buddies Sti. Does anyone know if this is possible? I have seen it done with the scion tc but can not find any info for a Tacoma

You can't add a BOV to a roots supercharger and have it work. The supercharger will stop making boost instantly also when it does open the truck will die since you are screwing up the MAF sensor and you will have to drill into the supercharger itself to install it and it will not work there since it sees vacuum there.
Whole lot of problems for something that will do nothing but cause you problems. BOV's have ZERO performance aspects to them BTW, they only rob performance, they do not add it.

Either way, not gonna happen on a TRD roots supercharger. Better off with one of those Ebay BOV sound things that goes in the tailpipe if you must have that sound.

You may be able to instal a BOV on a Scion Tc blower because, correct me if I'm wrong, the TRD set-up for that car uses a centerfugal style S/C rather than a positive displacement style. Therefore since the compressor end is essentially the same as a turbo, folks can get away with using a BOV. I agree with TA though; attemting to put a BOV on a roots is pretty much pointless. No offense.
