01 4Runner low brake pedal???

My 01 4runner has a low brake pedal. When im coming to a stop i can give them a quick pump and they feel fine then. The pads are ok and i just bled the brakes. Still have a low pedal. Master cylinder?? Rear drums need adjusting??

Thanks!

If its a good firm pedal once you give it the quick pump, I would check the rears(if drums) and make sure the lining is ok on the shoes, clean them of, and adjust them. My truck has done this, a few clicks on the adjuster and its all good.

Good luck!

I also had this problem. I replaced my brake lines with stainless steel ones and that helped a lot too. I guess the old ones swell up after so long i guess. I'd. Start with the shoes though
