01 4runner 3 inch lift too much sway

I have a toytec ultimate lift kit 3 1/2 inch front coilovers and 3 inch rear ome springs with pro comp shocks in the rear and bilstein struts in the front for a 01 4runner. I noticed after I put on the lift kit the vehicle has a lot more sway. I do understand that I changed my center of gravity but it seems pretty bad. I mean I have a 85 toyota straight axle with a 7 inch lift, 4 inch suspension lift and 3 inch body lift and it doesn't sway anywhere near what my 4runner does any help I can get to eliminate most of the sway would be awesome.

Did you make sure your sway bars hooked up? Did you get the panhard bar drop bracket? I think you have to order it separate from Toytec but its an easy bracket to fab up if you have the skills. I have the same lift w/ a 1" BL and I don't think the sway is that bad.

yea the sway bars are hooked up but the sway bar sits at an angle where it connects to the endlinks, I have not gotten a pan hard bar drop bracket yet do you think that would make a big difference.

You want it to sit as parallel as possible to the axle, and with a 3.5" lift it definitely isn't. The Toytec bracket should lower it down to right near stock level. Just un-bolt the bar, insert the bracket on the frame side, then bolt the bar on the lower part of the bracket. If you don't have one of these, the axle pulls whichever the frame side of the bar is on, in this case the passenger side, because of the angle the bar is at. So especially with a lift like this, it could definitely cause a sway. Here's a picture of mine after I got it on and painted over.

Yes, that too. Plus what sized tires are you running?

Smaller tire size could make it a little more top-heavy I guess, but not by much. Definitely look into that panhard drop bracket from Toytec though.

Panhard drop and extended sway bar links should go along way to help you out. I did a mild lift on my truck and noticed a little more sway, 3.5" definitely needs you to do a few extra steps.

does that pan hard drop bracket require modifications to put in on like welding or something?

Yes you need to weld it. They provide a bolt to run through it but it isn't enough by itself...their site says welding required.

Sorry I didn't mention before, but yes, as you can see in the picture I posted above, the top bolt on the bracket replaces where the bolt on the stock bar would go, then weld it up to the frame after you bolt it on.

I just ordered the 3inch lift with the diff drop, will I need to do the pan hard drop bracket? I am trying to lift it in my own garage but I don't have a full garage to do that much fab work
