00 4runner wheels lock after full braking
After coming to a complete stop, my left front and left rear wheels lock up. They will release on dry roads but it makes a clunking sound. On slippery roads, they won't release. They do release if I first put it in reverse and then into drive. I pulled the fuse to the ABS, but this didn't solve the problem. Replaced front wheel bearing and this didn't solve it either. Drained front differential fluid and there were no metal shavings. It only does it when I'm moving forward, not in reverse so it shouldn't be the calipers (or drums??) sticking. Any ideas?

First thing I would try is to come to a stop and with the brakes still locked up, open the bleeder screw on the affected caliper then afected wheel cyl for rear brakes. If releasing brake pressure frees the brakes then it is a hydraulic problem. If it doesn't it is a mechanical problem. Make sure no oil has been added to the master cylindar on accident. This will swell all rubber seals and compenents and cause the brakes to not release.
