I originally bought this truck as a parts truck for my 87' xtra cab, aka Yeehaw. Shortly after getting it home, I decided it was in too good of shape to just strip for parts.... and so it began again....
The previous owner had this photo in the craigslist add...


When i got the truck it was a 1988 singlecab 4x4 sporting a factory sunroof, visor, partially dissasembled 22re, 5speed, with 265x75x15 Remington Rimfire Tires, on some aluminum American Racing Sawblade rims...



As you can see in this pic, the bed didn't last long, and I found a nice newer model blue bed to replace it, the camo one is for Yeehaw (should have bought that whole truck )

I set the blue bed on, to free up our small trailer, and hauled the old bed straight to the local scrapyard... ( no pics yet maybe tommorow)

I was still looking for parts for yeehaw at the same time, that's when i found these!!! I got a couple spare motors with them, but none that were fuel injected, or easy to swap to efi...



then i found this truck, with what's supposed to be realativitaly fresh motor; best of all, it's a new style block!!

Within the week this was it's fate...





A couple days later, the oil pan was changed, and it was waiting to be set in the truck... then it got cold again...
So over the past two days, i've been putting the motor in it's new home... I'll snap a pic of it tommorow... hopefully i'll have a good start on the re-wiring/re-hosing of the motor tommorow, after i buy an intake and exhaust gasket...

Then it's on to bolting the bed down, and maybe a quick shot of black paint for the bed...

Thanks, the weather's been rather bipolar here lately, (and I've been sidewinded by my new to me 78 f100) so i just got back to work on it this week, and i gotta ask, what in the sam @@@@ did they use to stick the intake gaskets on? I had to grind the dang things off...

Well, O'rilley gaskets suck, tore it taking it out of the box, and napa can't get the gasket till tommorow at the earliest...

Finally got all the gaskets in, and everything bolted back together, now if i could just figure out where all of these freaking wires, and vacume lines go UUUUUUGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Wishing you the best of luck on all of the vacuum lines, especially around the carb, I might have one that I can take a pic of if you want. I dont know for sure if they are correct as it is the way that I got it. If it was EFI I could help, not on the 22r.

I can see why people like the Weber just for the vacuum line issue.

It was a 22r, I'm converting it to EFI, so far, it's a pain... any and all help is appreciated...

This things around 80% together now, Still got some random plugs/hoses that I'm not sure where they go, and for the time being I'm working to much to play with my projects. but I'll get er done soon enough (hopefully by next fall - 2013... Figure I'll give myself plenty of time lol)
