Yamiryder's 92 Extra Cab DD build
Well i've decided to start a build thread for my truck. It's a 92 Extra Cab, 22re 5 speed. I got it last August and have been doing little things to it ever since. I'm a senior in high school and this is my only vehicle as of now. I want to make this more of a trail rig one day when i get a 2wd to DD, but that all depends on the funds. I'm paying for this all with a part time, minimum wage job.
The day i brought it home with some junk
stock 10 inch wide aluminum rims
stock ifs flex!
got some 90's tacoma wheels; before paint
after some dupli color silver and clear
they looked ok with the free 31x10.50's i had
then i adjusted my valves and left the ratchet on the crankshaft bolt... broke of a sensor, but got one off a parts truck for free!
some wheeling with kawasakilewis
i was going to replace my e-brake cable, only to find it was rusted beyond repair..
all the chrome and silver didn't look that good to me, so i did some plasti dipping. Here's the front bumper and grill
then my wheels and door handles
also needed a new muffler, so i decided to kick it out the side, all with clamps, thrush turbo, and some white engineering
some flex, via no sway bar
did a BJ lift and 2 inch blocks in the rear
drove around for about 2 weeks on the 31s, when i got these off kawasakilewis
mounted up
makes the Chevy look small
and some more poser shots
Thats where is sits right now. I plan to regear soon, a rear locker, maybe a flatbed. All relays on how much $$ i have to play with. Also needs some body work soon, as i may plasti-dip the whole truck. That will come in spring though.

Making her your own! Looks good! You have any idea of what brand those "stock 10 inch wide aluminum rims" are? Im in the market for those exact wheels! Ive found some that are close... eight hole, 15x10". But the ones ive found are chromed steel with the phony beadlock. I'm really diggin'em. I see that they weren't rockin a center cap where the name usually is... Figured it was worth a shot. Either way, keep up the good work!

I have never seen "stock" toyota wheels like the ones in the first pics before the tacoma wheels which look better. Good work, what bj spacers you go with?

Not sure why i called them "stock," I guess i just meant they were on the truck when i bought them. And i got BJ spacers and 2 inch blocks off Ebay for $134. I had to grind the rear blocks some, as the u-bolts wouldn't fit over them, but its been trouble free for 2 months and about 800 miles since.

Oh thats when they're coming... Well shoot i have some old 36 inch swampers. I don't think your lift will work out very good with those tires tho. They all hold air good they had just been siting on there forever. Cracked up. I want to worry about them.

Put some cheap lights under my front bumper. Got them from Napa. $10 each, $5 for wiring and $4 for a switch so I have right around $30 in them! I need a real front bumper soon....

Got a free plastic tool box and moved my jack.
Also got a grill guard off kawasakilewis, still have to move my lights and modify it slightly.
