Replaced the heater valve a while back because it had started leaking, it still didn't open and close worth a crap though because my heater cable had gone bad. The little cast metal hook finally snapped off, so I called up 22re performance and ordered an OEM Toyota cable, last one made it 20 years why screw the trend up. Pulling the whole dash out again should be fun, been a couple years since I've done it. Pic of new cable and close up of the hook that broke off.

Needed a way to easily store the jack handle. Made a spring loaded mount to hold it inside the bed. Simple design made from two short pieces of 1 3/4 DOM, a spring, and mounting plates. Picture is when I had it clamped to my work bench so I could find the optimal spacing for mounting.

Engine has been running pretty poorly the last few weeks, rough idle and poor low end power with the occasional miss, it got extremely worse after this past weekends adventures through the desert. Pulled out my trusty Fluke to find the TPS has a burnt track in it. Another Brand new part that has gone bad far to soon. Called up 22re performance, apparently this is the 3 or 4th one that has gone bad recently. My fear of all parts sucking, including OEM is coming to life.

Shot of the bed with the jack handle and jack mounted. Starting to look nice and tidy, have some more stainless. Going to make a set of those quart/gal oil containers and get a cooler and some sort of pelican case mounted to store dry/cold goods. Going to try hunt down a similar looking spare as well.
