Technojunkie's '93 P/U buildup

Well after being a member for nearly 7 years, inspiration has finally reached a critical mass.

I present project Sylvia. A 1993 pickup that has been dearly loved by a couple of her owners and croaked at the hands of the owner before me. I 'uncroaked' her and brought her back up to working order and she has limped along with me for the last 8 years.

I've decided to begin work on giving her a thorough 'uncroaking' and bring her to as pristine a shape as I can reasonably accomplish. (I'll make some improvements along the way) My ultimate goal is a camping/travelling vehicle for myself and my wife. I'm shooting for basic trail running ability while maintaining a highway cruiser feel.

ToDo List:
Interior restoration
Suspension rework
Strip to frame(as much as possible) and remove rust/apply rust inhibitor
Modernize exterior lighting/wiring harnesses
Mechanical restoration (new seal kits for diffs, x-fer case, transmission)
Replace bed with flatbed
Design/Fabricate new front bumper
Diesel repower
Exterior restoration
Camping Refit

I'm reserving a few posts below this one so I can try to keep the work grouped together at the beginning of the thread. Mods if this is a problem feel free to delete.

I didn't think to get pictures of the interior before I started cleaning it up but here are some the wife grabbed while I was swapping hardware to my newly acquired buckets.

The PO was my brother, and he blew the motor before I bought it from him. His idea of organized disassembly was to put the greasy, oily parts from the motor on the carpet inside the cab. Hey it keeps the dust and dirt off right?

After a few hours with a bottle of simple green, and a scrub brush:

And a pair of buckets from a '93 Runner with cheap seat covers.
