Well Pismo I like that idea... but my suspension is junk... Im trying to decide on whether i go with a tg, or marlin, or allpro setup. or whether to do chevy springs, and an ruf setup.... IDK. money wise itd make sense to go the junkyard route... but ya if i did the ruf setup tho i would have some projunk frt springs to combine into it, and im really goin for axle relocation. but ill quit hijacking just hurry up and finish ur damn motor so u can fly to texas and do mine, and ill go to pismo and do ur suspension... fair?

Haha that sounds like a plan! I'm not much of a rockcrawler kind of guy, but more of a prerunnin kind of guy lol but I dont particularly care for allpro. They make some good armor products, but I wouldn't recommend their suspension products. Anyways, you deal with that stuff lol and I'll deal with the motor stuff, so then we can put our knowledge together and know what parts to go with!

Philbert...where's your water pump leaking from? A little trick I learned to prevent the seals from going out is to coat them lightly with a FIPG, like the one pictured in a previous post. Never had one blow out on me! Just a thought, I dunno where yours is leaking from though ha

Pismo....it's Monday.....did UPS ARRIVE TODAY? lol.... Can't speak for anyone else, but I'm looking forward to seeing a vid, maybe?..."turning the key, .....VROOOOMMMMM", ....and then some burnouts maybe? jkjkjk, i KNOW, ...but yeah, anxious to see it done!

Phil, ....THAT SUCKS MAN! Sorry to hear. It's not leaking from the weep holes, is it? Mine was, and now my new one, before the build, was sounding like a RC Car on those lil tracks! GRRRR...That's what I get for not getting an Toy-Manuf. one, I guess!

Wow. Looking good. I am jealous of your use of the 22re performance in Chico. I have drooled longingly at their site, especially their stage 2 and 2.5 builds!!

I read somewhere on here an ebay dealer that sold Aisin parts, that the toyota logo has to be ground off if they didn't come straight from Toyota.

Looking good, can't wait to see more progress.

haha don't worry gnarly...its coming!

I still have many parts to get....cam lube being one lol

I need a clutch disk, pressure plate, flywheel, clutch related bearings, starter, hoses, fuel filter, still waiting on rocker arms, need to send injectors to witchhunter, the block and exhaust manifold still need to be taken to the machine shop, get random things like vacuum lines, VSV, head bolts, exhaust bolts + studs, rotor, cap, plugs, not to mention buy gear oil, motor oil, oil filter, coolant....

Ahhh wow I have so much to do now that I think about it ha but there is light at the end of the tunnel!

First post on my thread, nice! Welcome to YT!!

Glad you like the thread, its more of a 'move along quickly and document the cool stuff' kind of thread...I would go more in depth but thats not really the purpose of this thread.

If you want some nice 'how to' threads on 22R/RE engines, check these out:

haha that sucks!

Ok status:

-Sent rocker arms last Friday to 22RE Performance
-Haven't heard from them
-Called today at 2, haven't heard back.....

Sending injectors to witch hunter tomorrow
Ordering a clutch and all the goodies with it
Need to order some hoses and a VSV and a starter too....

Engine will be at the machine shop on monday

And all of this is expensive lol but worth it in some sick sort of toyota way.....

BTW Should I re use crank cap bolts? I think I'm going with the ARP head kit, debating weather to do the crank cap bolts too.....
