Thanks 4rnr!
and i hope you get that locker soon Travis.
Got my marlin knuckle gussets today, so now i need to get my hands on a welder to put theses gussets on and need to find a 5.29 third for the front SFA.
Then i can Finish putting the axle together and wait for the SAS Kit.
Oh, hopefully in the next week or two i can order the kit. Almost there!

Yea. im not really. i just want to get it done! HAHAHA
I want to be able to do brake stands in my 4runner, not the limited! lol Man where are those 5.29's?
We will have to go wheeling as soon as i get my diff back! You will have to bring some recovery straps as well as mine. Since i will only have 2wd! lol

Okay, i spent a bunch of time yesterday cleaning out the rear housing. There was a TON of metal flakes in there. TONS.... I used somewhere around 2 1/2 rolls of those blue shop towels and like 3 cans of brake cleaner. So i believe i got it pretty darn clean.
So i still haven't gotten a call to pick up my differential. So while i am here, do any of you put an extra magnet inside the axle housing to help collect metal particles? So then i get to follow the fun break in period for the new gears.

BTT:
Still no differential. Hopefully tomorrow.
What do you guys recommend for new gear break in fluid? just some cheap valvoline then switch to redline or something?

Thank you!
motor? lol
Well, the guy was closed for the weekend i guess, so hopefully tomorrow. Once i get that damn differential back, i can start driving my rig again.
And hopefully in a week or so i can order my sas kit. Still deciding between Trail Gear and Marlin though. I keep switching back and forth. Don't get me wrong i like marlin crawler and everything, ive bought quite a bit of stuff from them, but that extra savings of the TG kit might be worth it for me. But quality, durability and how i like the company are important to me. I haven't had a problem with Marlin, but i have never experienced purchasing things from Trail gear.
Ive been Pm'ing some people who have used either kit, and it seems both kits are really liked by the people who use them.
So if anybody has any input on either company, please share, i would love to hear peoples comments from both companies to make my decision.
Thanks
-Mike
