Talking 1986yota4x4's 1986 Pickup Build-Up Thread

all pictures are in order from when i got it to today.

hey guys, got this pickup back in the beginning of may. it has 276xxx miles on it. it was a old farm pickup. its a 1986 toyota 4x4 with a 22r engine and a w56 trans. when i got it it had oil in the radiator and the guy said it was because of a previous motor he had in it with a blown headgasket and he just replaced the engine. i soon found out that he was lying and this engine has a blown headgasket. we were driving it and it overheated badly so i got another 22r in my garage with a crawler cam im gonna rebuild and throw in it. i first started with the interior, i tore out the nasty old vynil floor, and had it bare metal for a while, then i herculined it. i then redid the original door panels and made custom aluminum door panels. i then put some 4runner bucket seats in it to replace the old bench seat, and put some more guages in it. it then sat for a month or so because i was busy working. but recently i rebuilt the rear axle, and put the locked 3rd member out of the 82 in my 96. i also bought a rolled 1982 toyota for parts. i stripped it and then scrapped the rest. i was going to sas my truck but i just dont have the money for it, so i traded it to a buddy with a sas'd 4runner with a bent front axle and i traded that axle for a set of 95% bfg at's. then my dad gave me some rims off his old 79 for my birthday so i put the bfg's on those rims. i also put 2wd fenders on it since my 4wd fenders were all screwed up, so i need a passenger 4wd fender. i know im forgetting something but you get the gist of it, enjoy the pics!

Just NEED to ask, first....

You SURE you installed the hubs properly, tore them down and cleaned em all up, installed the adjusting nut to the SPECIFIC torque it asks for, ETC., ETC., ETC.? Repack yer hubs/bearings with fresh grease?

Is this a switching from Auto Locking Hubs to Manual deal? IF SO, I would ask Wabbit or someone like that what would cause this (3/4 syndrome), ya know?

Nice job on the paint and doors!

PS> Where's the missing Bolt?
