nice progress.....maybe in 4-6 mths ill be doing the same to my 81 axels.

i have 33 swampers on my stock 82 4:10 gears, its a slow truck on the road, but a monster in low range.
with 33's and 4:88's should get the truck on par with a stock 4:10 and 29's

It would be great if someone had the correct part no. for a Rancho 5000 steering stabilizer? The one they sent was part no. rs5401.....Or are there any suggestions to a good quality stabilizer? Thoughts/comments are appreciated!

Got a little update....I got the axle back together and under the truck. I am having problem with the wheel bearing preload set. Passenger side is a little tighter than the drivers side. Also the one hub i got back on (passenger) is not engaging. I called it quits for today and will start back up when i get back home. The 3" superlift springs picked the front up ALOT. Comparing to the wore out stock springs, the the 3" springs raised the front of the truck almost 5"! Did not get the drive shaft, shocks, stabilizer, drag link hooked back up yet. I still have to order a dropped drag link, new u-bolts and the steering stabilizer. Then i am going to start working on the rear axle/suspension.

You figure out the vacuum hose situation? I can go look on my truck and at my hose diagram and tell you where the hoses are supposed to go and what they do.

Thanks a bunch guys!..... I wouldent call my vacuum problem fixed, but it runs decent. I will know more once I can get it on the road and see how it acts through various rpm's. I will be ripping out the egr and all that emissions crap eventually. I downloaded a FSM for the first gen pickups and there is all sorts of info for the 22r but nothing for my 20r... no diagrams, valve clearances or anything....pretty much a let down....thanks for the diagram ocdropzone, that will come in handy soon.

Ok, time for a little update. I got everything back on the truck. I took it for a test drive and could not get over 25 mph. ALOT of death wobble. I know it needs to be aligned and i still need to get a steering stabilizer and hook up the sway bar. Also there is a terrible amount of slop in my trans shifter, that needs to be fixed ASAP. Ill get some pics up tomorrow.

Atleast it is movable now. So it is some progress. That is a big step. Hopefully the tranny just needs the bushing. The wobble shouldnt be to bad. Congratulations on the progress so far.

I figured out what was making the wobble, it helps when all your lug nuts are tight!.......So i went and got a cheap stabilizer for now. i got it up to 45 mph and all was good. Im gonna try to put a few miles on her today. The only thing id with the lift i was unable to get the torque arm hooked back up (i think that is what its called? The arm that bolts on the drivers side of the axle?) Any tips/suggestions for this? I also have to get some longer sway bar links.
