color of the inside

color of the seat

color of carpet

just waiting on the stuff to come in so I can get it installed the seat is being recovered in the tan vinyl, the floors will be the darker brown and the pannels will be tan. i think it will all tie in nicely

Good to see someone keeping one of the "good ones" alive (79-85) Mine is an 80 and I will be posting about it soon. I'm new to the site but old to the Toyota.

Sorry I havent been on I have a lot of pics to post but I haven't had the time but as for a update the floor boards are cancer free and patched the carpet went in pretty good but I cut a few extra holes for the gas pedal and it's a little fluffed out around the hump but for Pre molded carpet it's pretty good had a 80 Toyota 2wd seat recovered in tan vinyl and put it in also got a wood grain dash from 17toyota and put a radio in and a set of 6 1/2in speakers behind the seat and a 6 1/2 mid sub under each seat also had to tap into the cig lighter to power the radio since mine didn't come with prewire for a radio ad that completes my inside so far, I put a little over 200miles on it the first two days I had it running and the clutch came apart from sitting so long fixed that and got some new tires all in the same day

Hey, Duck.
If you want it, I have a spare bezel for the gauges that mount in front of the heater box. Blasted vultures at PnP snagged the gauges, but it's a good-conditioned box you can put aftermarket gauges into.
If it sounds good to you, it can be yours for the price of shipping.

Ok just a question how hard would it be to swap my 20r for a 22r I'm wanting a little more power I have a 22r that needs to be rebuilt I think it has some nocking I'm hopping to go through it on my spare time and see if I can't figure out what's knocking and also is swaping my 20r to the 22r worth the time will it add any noticiable amount of power/speed ?

I doubt it. If you want more power, rebuild the 22R and get a good head w/ porting and bigger valves, etc.

Hey Duckmaster88, I did just that. I put a 22R in my 80 and I had noticeable improvement in power and in economy. Maybe my 20R was a real dog. The 22R is still not a rocket. Not at all. It took me a long time to convert all the wires and computer because it was all new to me. The bolts lined up with the holes real well. I have heard of using the 20R head on the 22R engine because of bigger valves. I never checked it out and don't know if it's true. However, if you are rebuilding it, do at least some improvements in the performance dept.

Well so far she runs good and I'm about done with the inside of it just want to mount the volt and oil gauge bezel in an buy some speaker pods. For mounting my speakers and replace the windshield gasket and I should be able to move on to putting the other bed on it and save for the front fenders lol money is starting to slow down but it's been well worth it I love the little truck and surprisingly most people I know have liked it they call it vintage I call it a solid dependable truck but every body agrees its a sick old truck with a lot of potential ill try to get some pics up of the patch job I did on the floor pans soon

Few minor updates I finally got the timing close to perfect but still needs a little adjustment, also when I first got the truck it took me forever to get to 55mph and it was bottomed out pedal to the floor did some digging around found out I had to much slack in my throttle cable took out the slack and now I can hit 55 in about 2 football fields also did some moving stuff around and loaded it down with a 10ft sea container, 2 onan military generators and a road construction light tower needless to say it was loaded to the max!

I had some time to take the bed off the other truck and look at it it looks like its in great shape except for one place about the size of your hand has bondo on it but its where a dent was so as far as rust it's pretty clean!
