I have a 4th gen right now and I really like that truck, but these new 5th gens have me itchin to go and test drive. I would definitely get a trail model, but again, I haven't had a chance to drive one of any model.

I like the looks of the 4th gens, and some of the features. BUT, I don't like the fact that the new(er) and new 4Runners are made with all that plastic. I don't much care for the declining reliability that has plagued Toyota in recent years. This is just my opinion, of course.

I would never get rid of my 3rd gen for any other generation, but if I had the need and money for it I would get a 5th gen also. I like some of the new design changes, but all of that plastic on them really bugs me. just my $0.02
