I think that this is truly a thread Hy-jack now...
As far a strength goes, the 4.10s are strong enough.
Nevertheless, they are the incorrect ratio for 33s.

Personally, i have run 33s on your exact same truck with 4.10s. I would have liked to have run 4.88s, but it got me there and back again plenty of times. Without incurring the cost of re-gearing.

So here are a few updated pics of the rear. All the grinding is done (I hope) and will hopefully get the hangers welded next week!! And hopefully drivable

And I decided to keep things this way, cap off that cross member, and squeeze that shock hoop in there while keeping those bump stops for now too. It's always easier to go back and cut more out later

And no worries about the hi-jack, try to use the search button or start a new thread to ask your questions. I think there is a sticky or FAQ that will help you navigate the site. Welcome! We all look forward to seeing your rig in action

Made it from the scrap that i cut off originally, cut it right, cleaned it up, and welded it on to the best of my noob welding abilities. It'll work for now until I can redo the entire exhaust, or have the money rather. Wouldn't trust myself at this point for all the main welds, so thanks to you this is actually happening

Looking good!

Whats the problem with the steering? The tie rod contacting the drag link?

I had the same problem when I first did my swap....fixed with a 3/4 drop pitman from Sky. Yours may be a little worse than mine was...

Your 4Runner is looking real good!!

I moved my axle back one inch by redrilling the springs pads on the axle. I still have tones of room at full stuff and 33's and my pitman arm clears....just.

My 3" TG kit has come down about 1.5" in the front from when I first installed it. I just did a 2300km trip with it and it has seated in nice now.

Runner is looking really good.

and to fix the steering problem we removed the old steering box mounts, drilled and sleeved some new holes with TG's steering box mounting plates.

steering box mounted up! moved forward a little over an inch and rotated down, as you can see I had to switch to the flat pitman arm. Clears everything perfect!
and now have awesome clearence!!
