I was lazy yesterday...I just washed the parts truck and tried to get the gunk out of the bay before i pull the motor out this weekend. My focus is to decab the parts truck and put it out on the trailer and open up some space in the shop for a big shelf to put everything together from the bodys they came from. I also picked up a bunch of little plastic latching boxes with dividers in them for screws, clips, nuts and bolts. Im keeping everything together as to where it goes...I think that will make my life a bit easier when it comes to putting 2 rigs together.
Newyears eve i dropped the axle housing at Addicted and Scott seemed to think it looked alright to put together so hes working on that along with a million other things so as soon as hes done im going to get the hoops on and rear shock tower built and on and take the frame over to the oven.

Update. My wheels and tires are mounted but my buddy shows up and wants to trade me for some beadlocks...Im checking them out today so i may wind up trading him.
Scott has the final specs on the bumper and hes pretty slammed right now on top of my stuff that is already a big load so once the diffs are back i can drop the cases off and all the case gears and get the axles back under it. The guys whos supposed to be cutting the plates for the sliders hasn't got to cutting them so fingers crossed he didnt use the metal for his rear axle and i can atleast grab it and cut it myself.... I really want to get those on so the frame can be powdercoated and i can start putting it all together. For now parting the 2wd, Ordered the new heatercore, heater box pieces and cables. Im going to order the rest of the noise killing bits i want so i can shoot the inside of the cab and start putting stuff together.

Update----
Sounds like the axles will be back for the weekend. I gutted the old cab and threw it on the trailer to recyce with all the other scrap. I started pulling the 2wd apart. Motor and most of the wiring is out i just have to do the dash, Seats glass and heater parts, That cab will be repainted for the other project that will get under way as soon as my truck rolls and is painted under the body and the bay so i can start putting it together. Started buying the small bits. I picked up 7inch subs for the doors from Elemental Designs and i cant wait to see them. Ben should be stopping by the shop this weekend with those. Pics to come tomorrow of what i have done.

With as much as you like to wheel with no doors, I would keep as much out of them as possible ... do you really want to suffer the loss in sound quality when you don't put the doors on all summer?

Troy, This summer i will be running 1/2 doors made from the smashed ones. the speaker pannels will be quick release so the speakers will fit in the rock doors. "That truck is going to be amazing!!! I wish spidertrax made more yota stuff cause i would grab it just because i can ride my bike over if i need to.

some new pics..I have been moving kinda slow. Sliders have to go on and shock hoops/bumpstops. Tcases will be dropped off as soon as Scott gets some time.
All the shackle angles are off cause the truck is bare...i think a few people could pick it up. Hub idea...gotta finish around the bolts ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
