Be very careful when using Hydrofluoric acid, we use it at work to etch circuits on wafers. It will burn you from the inside out...If the strong stuff is spilled we get to clean it up wearing SCBA's and full acid suits (inhalation burns lungs)...just be sure to use care and wear proper PPE.
this is a mild HF burn (the burns from concentrated HF are pretty nasty):

sorry for being on the but just seen a few people over the years get screwed up by HF..wicked stuff in inexperienced hands...

thanks for the heads up. i've read through por-15's material on their site a couple times over the last couple months. i understand its rust preventative properties, i was just curious in your experience on how well it adheres to parts (i.e. frame, axles, springs, etc). you're using it everywhere, so you must like the stuff for longevity...from that would it be safe to infer that it adheres pretty well?

I guess I should be more carefull about answering peoples questions about stuff like that .. sometimes I forget not all have experiance using chemicals ..

as Robb says :

this stuff is DANGEROUS ... and upmost care should be taken in handeling , this is shop use only stuff .
protective clothing , as well as resperator MUST BE USED !

Corey: I know what you are doing with it. Hope I didn't seem over the top with the warning. We recently had a guy miss a few days of work after an HF exposure. Just hate to see an inexperieced person get hurt.

thanks , a littly leary about buying used , expecially from so far away ..

and there is certinally no rush on the charger .. but the good news is Toyota USA and Toyota Canada are now friends again , and Toyota USA is now supplying Toyota Canada with TRD parts again .. so I'm trying to get a NEW ONE . I've asked my Toyota TRD Dealer here to order me one

so a wee bit of work the last couple of days .. and I believe I have finally got the drivers outer rocker done .. so now I can do the inner .

cut off the old rotten fender mount ..

cut the new/used one off my parts truck (already done a while back) sandblasted .. and then fit .

and welded

also made a little patch for a weak spot on the rocker

and now I can fit the inner

also got all the welds "dressed"

and also got a little new piece today ...

just need an "extension" on the stock pipe , and I can install the mufler
